How to play GroupJam

In Classic, each player submits a song for the round’s theme. Everyone listens and votes. Your points carry across rounds.

Start with the group

Create an account, choose a Classic league, and give it a name your friends will recognise. Add your round themes and choose how long submissions and voting should stay open. Share the league’s invite link directly with the people you want to play.

Add your rounds

Enter a theme for each round and put any extra rules in its description. Give your friends time to join before opening the first round.

Submit a track and a little context

When submissions open, search for a song and select it. You can add a note about your choice before submitting.

Listen before you vote

Voting opens after submissions close, or earlier if everyone has submitted or the host opens voting. Manual voting cannot open on an empty round. In Classic leagues, players who submitted can vote for other people’s tracks; you cannot vote for your own.

The league sets your points allowance. Spread those points over your favourites and submit your vote at the required total. Saved drafts are not submitted votes.

Know when the round moves on

The countdown shows the current phase’s deadline. GroupJam can move on sooner when everyone eligible has finished, so the deadline is not always the exact transition time. A round with fewer than two submitters has no competitive voting phase.

When voting finishes, scores are finalised and the next queued round opens for submissions. At the end of the league, the standings and finale stay available to the members.
